For over 30 years, Bushido MMA & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy has been a pillar of El Paso’s martial arts community. We've proudly helped local athletes rise to the highest levels of competition, including world title fights in premier organizations like Strikeforce, Bellator, World Series of Fighting, and the UFC. Most recently, two of our standout teenage fighters represented Team USA at the 2024 IMMAF Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi, competing for a world title on the international stage.
Now, we’re proud to take our legacy even further. Bushido MMA is honored to become El Paso’s first official Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu Association affiliate—joining forces with the legendary Machado Brothers, pioneers of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the United States.
Each of the Machado Brothers has carved out a significant place in the world of BJJ, securing National, Pan-American, ADCC, and World titles. Their influence extends beyond the mat, with appearances in TV shows, motion pictures, and numerous features in martial arts magazines worldwide.
Master Carlos Machado and The Machado Brothers have also contributed to the BJJ community through instructional books, DVDs, and documentaries, emphasizing their mission to share the best of BJJ with the world.
